Weekend in Spencer

The weekend of my 34th week, Steve and I had tickets to a Red Sox v. Yankees game! Grandma Jan and Chris were coming to watch Ethan for us and at the last minute decided to pick him up for an overnight in Spencer with Chris' family. That was fine with us!! Steve and I made the most of our night alone and spent some quiet time at home before heading to the game. It went into extra innings but I couldn't sit in those seats another minute so we left with it tied in the 9th. We were glad we left because they ended up losing anyway. We made our way to the T and headed to the North End for a yummy dinner at a restaurant called Euno's. We were out past 11! It was a crazy night...





While we were enjoying our time, Ethan was having a blast of his own. Here he is with GJ at a local farm.

This is Chris' brother Bill and he lives on a lake and has lots of big boy toys.

Ethan was in heaven!

Although it's hard to tell who was having the most fun.

They all went fishing and Ethan hooked a fish! It got away, but it apparently didn't phase him at all. Chris caught one and reeled it in but Ethan was not interested in touching it at all and was happy to release it.

It was a successful overnight for him away from Steve and I in a new place. This child has no separation anxiety whatsoever which is great. He couldn't wait for GJ and Chris to get to our house to pick him up and barely said goodbye to us.
