You know what's awesome? Our friends Matt and Colleen (You know, Tommy's parents?) have a boat and they're not afraid to use it. They spend lots of time on Lake Winnepesaukee during the summer and now we know why! We went in on a house with them and the Lovell's for an amazing Father's Day weekend. The weather cooperated, the kids cooperated, it was just about as good as it gets.
The house was situated to take advantage of an amazing view.
I think this was before we were ready for the sunset cruise.
Don't mess with Miss Molly's seat!
We tied up at 19 Mile Bay for ice cream, only to find out that they close at 7! We just missed it.
The kids were great sports about it. We all climbed back into the boat and they all took turns driving.
S'mores is not a bad Plan B!
The kids were up late that night and up early this morning. The best part was we were able to send them out to play on the beach and they did...for hours! Well, the kids and Bill.
Jacob and I in Big Bertha! Connor, Bill and Michael were on "the mattress".
That was fun!
Tommy was thoroughly disgusted when I informed him that the toy rod would not catch any fish.
We caught an Ethan!
Not your grandma's trip to the lake.
Sunset cruise/ice cream run round 2!
Matt had to make sure the light pole was ready to go...even though it was nowhere near dark. Safety first!
Matt and I declined to order ice cream. We're perpetually trying to lose weight...but can't resist eating the remnants of others treats.
These guys were DONE after that boat ride. Kim was all for another round of s'mores, but I put the kibosh on that one. They needed to go to bed! It was really a wonderful weekend with these guys.
