I realize I'm pushing it with the title on this one. It sounds more interesting than "june 2013" but I'm starting to annoy myself a little.

| The kid beach chair has somewhat transitioned to Jacob. Technically this was May 31st, but we were on the Cape, at Millway for sunset and it was prom night! I took this picture of Jacob with the Prom kids in the background on purpose. It's impossible for me to imagine my little man will be heading to his own prom some day! I'd better like his date... |
| Mr Bethan was in a mood this night and tried to tell us that he did not want to go to the beach. I threw a change of clothes in the car, ya know, just in case our complete water bug might just change his mind once we go there. What a goofball. |
| Naked sprinkler time at Grandma's house! |
| Saturday we met Jamie and Emma at Sea Pines in Brewster. The tide was way, way out and it was a great beach day with these guys! |
| Steve and Ethan set out on an adventure and I followed with food for them to have a picnic on a sand bar. |
June 3rd was a Monday and the night of my 5th NKOTB!!!! The girls and I met at Boston Beer Works for dinner before the show at the Garden.
| Renica! |
| Me and Lisa, who I've known forever. |
| Ready for the show!!!! |
| It was SO much fun. I can't say enough about it. Well, I can say that Boys to Men sounded great but were pretty boring to watch and that I really had no idea what any of the 98 Degrees songs were, but Nick Lachey is crazy hot. NKOTB however were incredible. They brought so much energy and gave a really great performance. I didn't want it to end! |
| One morning at the bus stop. A typical look for me in the morning...post hair, pre makeup. I was always in some state of readiness when the bus arrived! |
| Some abstract art by our Kindergartner. |
| A sure sign of summer. |
| Little gardeners. |
| I forget what made the mess that daddy made but the boys could not wait to help clean it up. |
| Hat, |
| hats, |
| and more hats! |
| Ethan was fired up at his kindergarten celebration! It was so funny to see him so hyped up and goofy. |
| Father's Day in his handcrafted by Jacob hat and shirt. I love this picture. Hello suburban dad! |
| Ethan's card for his teachers. It was funny to watch him write separate thoughts all over the page. I think the order was "To Mrs Stanford and Mrs Harvey" then "love Ethan" then "I will miss you" then "thank you" then "I hope that you have a good summer" which he ran out of space for. |
| 6/20 was the last day of Kindergarten! |
| That's a wrap. On to 1st Grade. |
| What is going on with Darth Vader's hair? |
Saturday the 22nd was a graduation party for the Schuler kids! Jamie and Emma came up and we all piled into my car and drove to NH.
| The kids were dressed up and so cute but somehow only the "silly faces" picture looked half way decent. |
| wrestlemania |
| You know you're the son of a Melanoma survivor when you're so white you actually glow. |
| We had lots of fun fighting with water balloons! |
| Sunday we decided to all head out on a walk in the woods on the "new" path. |
| I stayed with the kids and their snacks while Grandma Jan, Auntie Jamie and Steve walked ahead and out onto this peninsula thing. They really weren't that far away but Emma was NOT amused by the fact that her mommy was so far away. We packed up snack and headed out after them pretty quick! |
| It was a whole lot of walking for the little people. Especially while carrying a pony in a bag. |
| Sunday chores. |
| There was a week between school ending and summer CARES starting so Ethan got to spend some time on the Cape. I drove down Tuesday night and just the 2 of us hit the beach Wednesday morning! We hit dunkins for some breakfast and then swam and went on a shell hunt. |
| we wrote our names in the sand too... |
| And then took pictures of each other. |
| Grandma Suzanne should start her own clothing line. Her originals are some of Jacob's favorites! |
| Sprinkler menace. |
| Our super cool dinosaur pool was pretty beat up by the end of last season so I bought this one that turned out to be gigantic! |
| Dinner and sleep over with the Lachiatto's! |
| Who gets slush instead of ice cream? |
| Jacob, how old are you? (and yes, he had worn his winter hat to the ice cream stand.) |
| June 27 was the first day of Summer CARES for Ethan! He was very excited. Both kids got hair cuts the day after this picture was taken. |
| A glimpse into my Sunday evenings. Since May I've been really trying to make sure that we are eating more whole, less processed, and along with that comes a whole lot of prep! It's too hard to get it "right" when I'm scrambling in the morning before work to make a salad or get the kids lunches together. Ditto for after work. If I don't have a plan, I get cranky and we end up eating pasta. So...I buy, wash and prep all of our fruits and veggies for the week and grill a bunch of chicken for salad! It's been working pretty well for us. We both feel great and even though this takes some time, having less meal time stress during the week is key. |
