While it might be hard to believe, I have not given up on the blog...at least not completely. Life has been busy and I have been tired! The only time I really have for this is after bedtime and, well, I tend to go to bed myself not long after bedtime so I am just going to bust out a few giant posts by month and that will just have to do!
February was another cold and snowy month. I already told you about Nemo and taking E skiing, so let's get back to the rest of it...
| On February 1st we met the Barnes Family at Jordan's for ice cream and fun. This picture doesn't do the cuteness of this any justice, but look at our big and little men! I'm sure we could go back and find pictures of little Ethan and Caleb in similar taxi's. |
| It was so much fun that Jacob fell asleep on the way home and didn't even move when I brought him in and set him down in this awkward position on the couch. |
| Jacob loves to help me "vacuum" and he went through quite a phase with these sunglasses. He wore them all the time. He would even leave them on all day at school. |
| To celebrate 100 days of school, Ethan had to bring in 10 of 10 things and it had to fit in this bag. That was harder than you would think! We did pennies, buttons, lego guys, pencil's, knights, bakugan cards, matchbox cars, and I don't remember what else. |
| I mean, why not take a picture of this. |
| I remember that Ethan and I laughed and laughed over how much trouble he was having writing this sentence. For some reason we got the giggles about it and it makes me smile to remember. |
| On February 10th the Krangle's came over for dinner. Clothing was optional, as usual, for the little guys. |
| Ethan and Katie ended up pretending they were camping on Ethan's top bunk and he has been sleeping up there ever since! |
| I love how children spell phonetically, but I can't figure out how he got some of these letter combinations. |
| Who doesn't love a good pony every once in a while? |
| February 20th, Ethan was home with strep throat. It was February vacation and he missed CARES and playdates and some skiing. He was one miserable little man but he bounced back fast. |
| 2 days later Grandma Jan was here and we were looking for a place to sled. Most of the snow had been compacted and the hill we tried to go to was sheer ice. We made due by sliding down this hill in the woods on our bums. |
| Later that day GJ and I drove out to Carlisle to do some cross country skiing! It was hilarious when we were getting started because neither of us could figure out how to get the ski's on and I was getting really frustrated and then fell over! I was stomping into the rental shop when the guy came out and we figured it out. It was a gorgeous day for it and we stayed out for hours. |
| The next day we drove up to Gunstock for some skiing. After dropping Ethan off in a lesson (check out his new helmet!)... |
| ...Steve and I hit the slopes for the first time since Park City 2006! We were so excited and it really did come right back to us. |
| The Lewis Family was there too and Ethan was so excited to meet up with Tommy. We screwed up and went to different places for lunch so it was quite the reunion by the time we saw them. |
| Random super hero dress up day. |
| We have been getting a lot of mileage out of these couch cushions! They have been ships, ice bergs, obstacle course obstacles and fort walls. Anything to make inside time just a bit more interesting. |
