Sunday at the Park

Ethan and I had a lovely Sunday! We had breakfast out at Panera Bread and he was a big hit as usual. It's like being out with a celebrity he attracts so much attention. One of the other customers actually recognized him. I'm wondering if he's really that cute or if I need to stop going to Panera Bread so frequently. Either way, Ethan was terribly disappointed to find out that the mall does not open so early on Sunday and we could not go run around like we usually do with Katie and Caleb. He ran to the back of Panera to get in and beat on the gate to open but we ended up heading home full of energy left unburned.

Today did end up being a beautiful day so Ethan and I took a long walk and went to the playground by Lake Quannapowit in Wakefield. I had to bribe him on our walk with treats and he wasn't happy with me when the treats stopped flowing. Hence the look of distain in the second picture.

Ethan really enjoyed going down the slide and also watching the big kids run around. Man do they get crazy! It's funny to watch all of the parents try to keep track of their kids. We're running around as much as they are!

Ethan is adding new words every day. Ironically, one of his latest is "teeth". He likes to point at mine (or bang on them to be more specific) and say "teeth". I keep telling him that someday he'll have teeth but there is not too much evidence of that at this point. The same tooth that poked through a month ago is still just that...a little point. The one next to it seems to be trying to come through but is still under the surface. One of our favorite new "words" is "wow". He loves to say it, we love to hear it. He will also sit when we say that it's time to put his shoes on, and he holds out his arm for us to put his jacket on. It's just amazing to watch him turning into such a real person!

Wow, you do more in two days than we do in most weeks, LOL.
