Friday at the Mall and art show

Katie and I have a new favorite Friday morning activity...we take the boys to Panera for a late breakfast and then we let them run around the empty Woburn Mall! There are very few stores in there and they don't open until 9:30 and it's so much fun for them to have the run of the place. They are so funny to watch interact. They come together, laugh at each other or something and then run away from each other. They are definitely individuals with their own interests, but they do have fun together.

Last night we went to an art show at Ethan's day care. We met the Krangle family in the parking lot and found Katie's painting right away. Ethan's contribution was a bit elusive. Every kid had at least one piece of art and the older kids have multiple. We found most of Ethan's classmates work but his was nowhere to be found. Most of the class had painted on cardboard trays and had pictures with them of the artist at work. We were looking everywhere for a cardboard tray but all we ended up finding after a good amount of time and help from his teachers was a piece of yellow construction paper with some crayon scribbles on it! We're not sure what happened to the tray, but here is the artist posing with his work.

Ethan and Katie loved looking at all of the artwork together.
This shot is right before an unstable Katie tried to use Ethan for support and scared the crap out of him! They both went down and Ethan burst into tears. I think all of the art, kids and parents were a bit much for him to take.
