Apple Picking at Boston Hill Farm

Apple picking season started early this year and we were at Boston Hill Farm for the first day of their fall festival. It's a no frills farm not too far from our house and it has become one of our favorites. Their website said that the hay rides to the apple orchard were running so we hung around the play ground waiting for the tractor to come hook up but it never did. We managed the walk just fine on that gorgeous, not quite fall, day.

Although Ethan did require some shoulder time from daddy to make the trip.

With all of the tomato picking from our garden this summer, Ethan has quite the picking technique. He knows to twist and pull just like Steve taught him and is very serious about it.

At some point this winter, the road partially washed out. The boys were looking for frogs because this pond is covered in lily pads. There were a few popping in and out close to the edge, but there was a really big one on a lily pad not too far from shore. It's amazing the lily pad was able to support weight of that thing.
